AGM Wed 6th April at 7:30 p.m. for cheese & Wine AGM starts 7:45 p.m.

To be held at the Rec Club, please do your best to attend, we need support from all our members as I'm not allowed to drink all the wine myself.

Start of season Tounament Sunday 10th April

Great fun at this years kick off tournament

Weather was superb and with 20 competitors we should have probably started a bit earlier to get through all the matches.

The weather was so good we had to break out the Pimm's at 11ish, it's restorative properties seemed to work wonders on my serve.

The end of tournament Bacon butties also went down a treat.

Thanks to every one that help organised it as well as those that took part and made it so enjoyable.

Wimbledon Warm Up, Mixed Doubles Championship

Needs a Polish

We are planning to hold a one day competition to determine the 2011 Mixed Doubles Champions of Tattenhall

The competition is open to all adult members. The format will depend on numbers but plan A is for two round robin groups in the morning. The semi finals in the afternoon and the GRAND FINAL at 6 p.m. - with the trophy presentation and perhaps some celebration to follow.

If you wish to take part please email val on or sign up on the list in the club house. You can enter as a partnership or individual. We will try our best to partner individuals into the most competitive pairings. Closing date for entries; Saturday 28th May ! Usual entry fee of £2 per person to Helen Rideal - before 5th June. Final details on format and timings will be circulated to participants by 31st May.

Wimbledon at the Recreation Club (TBA)

This proved to be very popular last year with our own tennis tournament followed by a picnic with Strawberries and Cream, while we watched the Men's Final on the television.

If we follow the traditional schedule it will be, Tennis Tournament @ 10:30 (Adults only),

followed by a Picnic/Buffet at around 1pm (bring a dish).

Then it's the mens final on the 360 degree laser VRE (Virtual Reality Enviroment), apparently is better than being there. Failing this we will watch it on the culb house's TV. Rain or shine come along as we have a roof this year

Tennis Christmas dinner at the Recreation Club (TBA)

A great time was had by everyone last year, thanks Rhoyda and all. Most likely we will be doing something equally spectacular this year. Watch this space..

Internal Club Competitions

This season we are again running Mixed Doubles and a Ladies Singles Club Competitions

Rules:-

The basic rules are: £2 entry fee. Best of three sets, tie-breaks on all sets. Results to be entered on the schedule on the club notice board inside the rec club and to be informed. Both parties in a tie to contact each other to arrange play, but the ultimate responsiblity rests with the FIRST couple listed in a tie to contact the second couple. If no result entered or no proposed date of play has been entered on the club copy of the schedule, the SECOND couple will go through to the next round, unless it is due to them that the tie has not been played.

Cheshire League Competitions

We are planning again this year to enter the Ladies Doubles and Mixed doubles Cheshire League. All home games, for both competitions, are on a Wednesday night so both courts will be in action from 6:30 onwards on the appointed nights (see court availability for home game schedule)

Results as they happen, if anyone lets me know the scores, on our Results page. (untill we lose too many matches or I get bored)
